The joint statement on launching negotiations was signed by Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid and his South Korean counterpart during a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
Mahmoud Badawy, Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Transformation, said Egypt is leveraging technology to drive economic growth, improve public services, attract investment, and build national capabilities.
The number of Egypt's digital innovation centers will be expanded to 32 by 2026, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to thrive and fostering technological innovation, research, and development.
